Arlen Specter Finally Admits It.........He's Really a Democrat

With the welcome news that Arlen Specter has finally confessed the painfully obvious that he is really a Democrat by making it official, I have a couple thoughts;

First, good riddance.
Specter has been an unwelcome "specter" in my mind for many years.
After helping to stonewall judicial nominees, pass abridgment of the First Amendment, pass unwanted and Socialist economic nightmares called "stimulus bills", Specter did what I wish he had done years ago, and ridded our party of the cancer known as Arlen Specter.

For those of you who are afraid that the Democrats will now have 60 votes, guess what.....they already did!!
If Franken wins the Dem's will have a 60 vote majority whether Specter goes through with the official switch or not.
EVERY TIME we have needed his vote when it really mattered he has been on the wrong side.
So he will now caucus with them..........so what??
He always voted their way anyhow, and the Dems control the committees anyhow.

Now, at least we know, as if we did not already, that he cannot be counted on.
Now maybe Republicans can convince themselves to put principle front and center and beat him as a Democrat, because I seem to recall that we did not have the courage to do so when he was a RINO.

This should serve as a wakeup call to all Republicans who call for the "Big Tent" , the sale of our conservative principles for political expediency.
Bush and Santorum protected him from a primary challenge by Pat Toomey, only to have Specter shaft them every chance he got as repayment for the favor.

Liberals will be liberal as sure as the earth exists, and now that we protected him he voted with the Dems to pass Obama's government takeover of pretty much everything they can their hands on(the stimulus bill), Santorum lost his seat as result of angry conservatives refusing to support him after he protected Specter from Toomey, Bush is gone, and Arlen is now a Democrat.

Looks like the only person who benefited from selling principle for politics was Arlen Specter!
That never works for conservatives, and we better stop trying to make it work before it is forever too late.

The only political party to benefit from our wanton sale of principle was the Dems, ironically enough.
But, I suppose Republicans will continue to do more of the same that has resulted in their loss of the last three election cycles, continue to pretend it is conservatives causing all the problems, continue trying to be more like the other kids to make them like us, and continue losing.

I for one am glad he is gone.
When you have cancer, you remove it when possible, not coddle it, in hopes it will like you more next time.
Goodbye, Arlen!!
Hope you enjoy it when we kick your fanny and take your Senate seat away from you!!.

Muldoon Barr Labs Record Withstands Bolling Scrutiny

Not long ago a commenter challenged me to address the issue of Patrick Muldoon holding a hypocritical position regarding Bill Bolling's receipt of thousands of dollars from Barr Labs, maker of the "Morning After Pill".

After much careful research I have determined that Bolling is the one who has hypocrisy issues. not Muldoon.
An inquiry to Duane Morris Law Firm itself shows that Bolling's assertions that Muldoon takes Barr money are at best uneducated, and more likely direct lies, keeping mind that in order to tell a lie one must tell an untruth that ones know to be untrue at the time of the telling.

I don't know what Bill really knows versus what he says, but the cold hard facts don't lie.

The facts are that Duane Morris, the law firm for which Muldoon works does not represent Barr Labs in any way, nor do any Attorneys currently employed by Duane Morris.

Patrick Muldoon has never received a single dime of Barr Labs money and does not to this day.
It seems Bolling is trying to deflect attention from the fact that he actively solicited approximately $38,000 of blood money from Barr by directly lying about Patrick and his employer.

As if mandatory HPV vaccinations were not insult enough to conservatives everywhere, and as if HB 3202 was not enough violation of the same Constitution that guarantees the right to life that the M.A.P. denies.

Conservatism in Exile at RPV

Here as some facts that are undeniable, and of great relevance to the fate of the party in general;

#1. Consultants, not elected party leaders, control RPV by default.
To a great extent, Boyd Marcus, Tim Phillips, Phil Cox, and their buddies set policy, party rules, and the general direction taken by most of the statewide campaigns, lining their pockets richly whether the efforts succeed or not, and they generally do not.

#2. The leadership of today's RPV and their consultants absolutely believe that the candidates and consultants should be the ones to decide what RPV believes privately and says publicly, and many of them hold nothing but contempt for we simpleton conservatives.

#3. Leadership believes that the point of having a party is solely to defeat Democrats with no regard for the real purpose for doing so.

#4. Jerry is absolutely correct that almost everything IS done secretly, so that conventions, meetings, lynchings, and other party activities can follow through on their pre-scripted course, without any scrutiny from those of us who are represented by those taking action.

#5. RPV leadership cares first not about winning elections, but having absolute power at all cost, and they believe that absolute power will enable them to so carefully script an election cycle as to put up the perfect candidate, craft the perfect message, no matter how badly the perfect candidate may have strayed in the past or intends to in the future, and that if only conservatives were not always insisting on those ridiculous moral issues being front and center we could reach out to the middle and attract moderates and independents like Reagan did.........as a result, absolute power would be assured for eternity.
They forget he did it by making them want to be like us.

#6. All the above attitudes and notions are completely and totally worthless, because such a mindset disregards the makeup of ordinary citizens and their respect for and insistence on preserving freedom at all cost, not Republican "power".

When voters see a Republican party that constantly says one thing and does another, that forces down our throats a "stimulus" package, then assaults Obama for doing it too, that preaches free enterprise, then takes control of the banking system, forcing banks to "participate" that did not "need " to or want to;
When they see a party that preaches 1st Amendment, then assaults it with McCain-Feingold, that preaches morality and impeaches a president for committing perjury by lying under oath about sex, then are found with several members of our own shacking up and being protected by leadership;

When they see us preaching smaller government then creating a new huge cabinet department, when we preach self reliance then turn around and create the largest entitlement program since Lyndon Johnson, when we preach lower taxes then force through the largest tax increase in Virginia's history and unconstitutional HB 3202 resulting in taxation without representation, when we preach freedom but force on Virginia families HPV vaccines whether parents like it or not, when we preach "getting the money out of politics"( a ridiculous notion, BTW), then are found in bed with big business in a way that could only make Bill Clinton jealous;

When we preach American sovereignty, but our own president and president wannbe team up with Ted Kennedy to cram down our throats a massive amnesty bill, forced down by the very folks RPV dreads today, YOU;
When we preach less government control of the hearts and minds of America, yet team up again with Teddy to enlarge the Dept. of Education beyond the wildest dreams of Karl Marx, when we preach national defense, yet allow our troops to be murdered by Muslims as long as they go hide in a Mosque after the killings, when we preach states rights, yet continually go along with the Democrats to ensure that the federal government will always control us with our own purse strings, when we preach indivdual responsiblitily, but vote to spend our children, their children and grandchildren staight into a Chinese debtors prison....it becomes a little difficult for the people of Virginia or the U.S. to believe us when continue to say all the same things we have said for years but continue to do the opposite, as we have for years.

When the party that has constantly belittled folks like us who sound the alarm, and are continually proven to be correct by the American voter, continues to do all the same old activities of hypocrisy that have resulted in their election debacles of the last three cycles, we are left to believe only one obvious fact;
Today's RPV wants to be left alone to do all the same old things yet again, regardless of their history of failure, to be allowed to push conservatives to the side, make fun of us, use us like two dollar prostitutes, throw us to the side when they are finished.........and lose another election.

Why in the world would we see this as anything other than a desire for power at all costs?
When we get treated worse verbally and legally than they treat Democrats, why would we think otherwise?

When our leaders appear to be stepping in the crap again, why would we not object to the stench?
When the same consultants who have been heard to say that "conservatives are ruining everything" appear to be shoving us out again, and advising Bob McDonnell to one of the most stupid things ever done by a politician in taking a public position on the Frederick coup, why would we hire our selves out to the slavemasters again when we have a choice not to?

I for one, am not leaving the party anytime soon, but I know many who will, and I don't blame them; they are not stupid, contrary to the belief of one of our 5th district leaders who was observed saying that Jay Katzen and Mike Farris were the two " biggest losers" in virginia politics.

So to you establishment powerbrokers who got where you are by kissing up to someone you think "has it all", I would simply say this;
If you think you can shove us to the side and win, if you think you can win without conservative principles front and center, and without candidates who have the moral ground on which to firmly stand and promote such principles............remember Reagan and Gingrich;
No other Republicans in recent memory have tried real conservatism, and no others achieved their success.

Untruthful Bolling Calls Muldoon Liar to Distract From his Record

Bill Bolling at a recent Bloggers event accused Patrick Muldoon of lying about his record, in regard to Bill's support of HB 2035, the mandatory HPV vaccinations for all Virginia girls 12 years and older.

Bill's own website lists this bill as one of his legislative accomplishments in this statement:
"Together, we worked to pass important legislation that will provide economic development opportunities for localities with high unemployment, crack down on gang violence, expand the death penalty by repealing the so called triggerman rule, improve the health of women and children, protect children from online dangers, increase benefits for law enforcement officers and reach out to the changing face of Virginia."

"I strongly encourage the Governor to sign this legislation into law without amendment. By doing so, we will make significant strides toward building a better Virginia," added Bolling.

• HB 2035 - Hamilton - Human papillomavirus vaccine; added as required vaccination with parental opt-out;
http://www.billbolling.com/?page=news&view=000000409

Now a little research reveals that HB 2035 had an opt-out rather than an opt-in, and only allowing the opt-out to this intrusive vaccine for religious or health reasons.

Who is lying here, Bill??

In an ironic twist of fate that cannot make Bolling too happy, the Family Research Council condemns this legislation in it's mandatory form, though the Family Foundation of Virginia gives Bolling a 100% rating.
http://www.frc.org/get.cfm?i=IF07B01

I am told by former associates of the FF that these ratings, sadly, are the result of the compilation of specific votes on specific bills that give what at times can be the misimpression of perfection on family issues, resulting in a high rating that may or may not be deserved.
Bolling loves to cite his rating from the FF as proof of his pro-family credentials, but the facts suggest otherwise.

For instance, I am told Family Foundation supported the admitted pro-abort Jim Gilmore last year over the 100% pro-life Marshall, for the misguided reason that he had a "better chance to win".
Gilmore's 35% of the vote in the general election speaks to the wisdom of such reasoning.

But I digress....
Ask yourself why all of a sudden is this vaccine so critical?
Merck is the maker of Gardisil, the HPV drug that Merck is pushing in a new nationwide effort to market it as a critical health issue.

Bolling and others have received contributions from Merck for their efforts to push legislation making this a required vaccination.
The National Lieutenant Governors Association, of which Bolling is chairman, has made Merck's efforts a top legislative priority.

Merck has aggressively launched an effort to convince the States to make this vaccine mandatory for schoolgirls, but only Virginia has so far required it for entry into school.
This excerpt from the NYT is damning, and I have provided the link to the entire story.....
( the red text below is my addition)

Persuading the Governments

In country after country, Merck and Glaxo also appealed to politicians. Vaccines, unlike antibiotics, tend to be recommended or mandated by governments. “We support(translated campaign donations) policy leaders and try to educate legislators,” Dr. Haupt said.

In the United States, 41 states have passed or begun considering legislation on cervical cancer, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, and 24 have considered proposals to mandate the vaccine for girls, generally in middle school.

Many bills, like ones passed in Colorado, New Jersey and New York, allocate more money for HPV and cervical cancer education or to promote the vaccine. Others, like proposals in Iowa and Louisiana, require insurers to cover it.( government meddling in free enterprise)

The only state to pass a bill requiring the vaccine for school entry is Virginia; it takes effect in October, after school begins, so will first apply in 2009.

(HB 2035 applies to ALL girls public, private, or homeschool)

Merck has a growing economic interest in Virginia. In December 2006, Merck announced it would invest $57 million to expand its Elkton, Va., plant to make Gardasil, helped by a $700,000 grant from a state economic development agency that is part of the executive branch. Two months later, Gov. Tim Kaine, who has been mentioned as a possible Democratic vice presidential candidate, signed legislation requiring Gardasil for schoolgirls. Four months after that, Merck pledged to invest $193 million more in the plant to make drugs and vaccines, helped by a state grant of $1.5 million.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/20/health/policy/20vaccine.html?pagewanted=3&n=Top/News/Business/Companies/GlaxoSmithKline%20PLC.&_r=1

Bolling requested the taxpayer funds referenced in the statement above highlighted in blue text.
Here is an excerpt from his own press releases:

January 23, 2007: Lieutenant Governor Bolling and Secretary Tavenner Highlight Women's and Children's Health Inititiaves - Bolling and Tavenner support childhood obesity study, funding for cervical cancer vaccinations and expanded access to prenatal care

"Lieutenant Governor Bolling joined Secretary Tavenner in supporting of the following women's and children's health care legislation…

- Funding for Human Palillomavirus (HPV) Vaccinations. - Governor's Budget Amendment - Adds $1.4 million GF to supply local health departments with the HPV vaccine for girls who are ineligible for the federally-funded Vaccines for Children for Children Program and who are not expected to receive the vaccine from private health insurance."

That is called TAXPAYER FUNDED MANDATORY HPV VACCINES!!!

Bolling is also mentioned as leader in Merck's fight to get this legislation;

But, as in many states where cervical cancer legislation has been considered, there have been ties between drug makers and members of government. In 2006, one of Merck’s newly hired Virginia lobbyists was Sandra D. Bowen, who had spent years as Virginia’s secretary of administration. And Bill Bolling, the state’s lieutenant governor, became an outspoken participant in the “Ending Cervical Cancer in Our Lifetime” campaign, a program started in 2006 by the National Lieutenant Governors Association(Bolling is the Chairman) and financed largely by Merck and Glaxo.

“This is an important public health issue,” said Randy Marcus, Mr. Bolling’s spokesman.http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=15166

In stark contrast to Mr. Marcus' statement, this is NOT a public health issue.
Cervical cancer can only be contracted through sexual activity, therefore by definition, it is absolutely avoidable through sexual abstinence until marriage.

If both spouses make the choice to remain abstinent until marriage, it is almost impossible to contract cervical cancer.
Far from being an epidemic concern, this whole issue is the apparent result of a slick marketing campaign by an unscrupulous drug company, and the active participation by their political enablers in exchange for financial compensation, resulting in the loss of the rights of parents to choose the very best for our daughters, and it is a slap in the face to every freedom loving Virginian who ever trusted Bill Bolling with the protection of our Constitution which he took an OATH to uphold upon taking office.

In summary, it is clear that it is Bolling misrepresenting the truth, not Muldoon, and the arrogance of a man who will lie outright, knowing that the facts exist to prove him to be lying is breathtaking.
Here we have yet another instance of both major parties competing to see which one can steal our freedom the fastest, and still get us to vote for them in November.
And the Republicans wonders why they cannot win elections any more!!
The dem's have the luxury of having a base that cheers at the loss of freedom, and therefore are not offended at such.

Bill has apparently sold his principles for a few campaign dollars, and if we allow ourselves to be treated like this by those who claim to represent us, the end result of our political harlotry will be more of such treatment by the same individuals.

The Republican Party has a unique opportunity to present a stark conrast of bold colors, not pale pastels, to quote Reagan, to a Marxist regime in Washington, but we will have to work hard to overcome the reputation of Socialism we earned under the Bush regime.

The fact is, we did push a nearly Socialist agenda under Bush, and therefore the voters tend to disbelieve when we continue to profess to be the party of smaller and less government, when in reality we continue to advance the agenda of Merck far more that of Reagan.

This is why, among several other reasons, I am supporting Patrick Muldoon for L. Gov.
Even if Bolling's assertion that Muldoon can't win a general election is true,(remember Gilmore) then I would rather take that chance than to put my stamp of approval on the agenda of Bolling and Merck, at the expense of my rights to the welfare of my family.

Let the Democrats carry that standard.
As for me, I'll go with Reagan.

HPV Will Haunt Bill Bolling

IN this era of Marxist-Leninist/ Humanist worldview control of our political system, one would expect the Republican party to make at least an honest effort to stand against it in defense of American freedom and liberty.
Some, I am sure have tried action; Most, only rhetoric.

Bill Bolling has launched lofty rhetoric, but very little action to combat these forces at work in our state.
In some areas, he has actually led in the wrong direction, and one of those areas that concern me greatly as an American dad is the HPV vaccine.

Now some of this info is going to be very sensitive, so if you are a young'un, tune out now

Bill supported and campaigned for a bill that would force mandatory HPV vaccines on ALL Virginia girls age 12 and older.
It is ostensibly for the vaccination against cervical cancer, a very uncommon form of cancer.
This intrusive vaccine is administered in three shots, and has been documented to have killed some of the recipients.

The maker of this drug(Gardisil), Merck, has lobbied heavily among legislators all over the country, trying to start a panic epidemic to lead folks to believe this drug is an absolute necessity.

This is a case of slick marketing of a dangerous drug by an unscrupulous company, and Bill Bolling has been the leader of this effort statewide to promote it's sale and use, and the MANDATORY administering of this drug to Virginia's underage citizens, even against the wishes of their parents.

He has received appx. 6-7,000 for his efforts from Merck.
The National Lieutenant Governor's association where Bill is a prominent leader is pushing this drug very hard at Merck's request, in exchange for donations from Merck.

Google HPV to read the chilling story of how a drug company created a "crisis", and used politicians like Bolling to MANDATE their drug's use, whether parents agreed or not!!!

It infuriates me to be told by Mr Bolling that he knows better than I what the health needs of my daughter may be, and to have it insinuated that she would be sleeping around at the age of twelve, as sexual promiscuity is the ONLY way for cervical cancer to be contracted.

Government is out of control, folks, and I will not relenquish responsibility for my family to government, and I certainly will not be told by government that my children are government property, and that I must do as they say in all things pertaining to them.

If you are not offended by this heinous assault on parental rights, and the welfare of your kids by arrogant self-absorbed politicians, lacking principles beyond their own reelection and financial interests, then nothing I say will convince you, and I hope you enjoy it when they come to steal your kids, when you don't allow them to assault your children under medical pretexts.

This blatant assault on the constitutional rights of free citizens and their children nationwide, led by arrogant politicians like Bill Bolling, is representative of the downfall of the Republican party nationwide, in regard to the need to stand strong against the slavery of the citizens by an elite few in government determined to establish a Marxist utopia here in the States.

Now I do not believe Bolling is thinking along those lines, but his actions show at the very least a blatant disregard for parental rights and the constitution, and regardless of his motivation, the result of his actions will be devastating to freedom and liberty, and to the health and welfare of your kids, all in the name of "healthcare".
What an irony!

He is already suffering politically for these actions, having lost some battles in four unit mass meetings he never thought he would lose, and I fondly hope this issue will continue to gain steam and result in his defeat at the Republican convention this spring.

The Bible tell us that he who rolls a stone will have it return on his own head.........

George Allen Behind Frederick Coup

I am prepared to opine a little without cold hard facts on my side, which seems to be the activity of the hour in republican circles right now anyhow, considering some on State Central have admitted that the charges against Jeff Frederick were, after all, pretexts for removal rather than fact, so now it is my turn.
I will no doubt be accused of preparing to kill people, as I was accused last Saturday by some weirdo legends in their own minds, but here goes anyway.

George Allen was ultimately behind the removal of Jeff, not Bob McDonnell, though Bob did play a large role, and will be the one to "pay the ultimate price"(for those of you who love it when I say that), in November.

That's what he gets for trusting George Allen.
Who benefits the most from McDonnell losing, Bolling losing, and by virtue of potentially getting shafted at the convention next month, Cuccinelli losing??

Yeah, Allen!!
If Bob and Bill lose in November, which appears fairly likely, by virtue of their unwillingness to lead on any conservative issues in a proactive and meaningful way, and Cuccinelli loses in May, the path to reemergence is cleared beautifully for Allen who will then have total control of the party apparatus in hand.

Brownlee and Foster are easy enough for Allen to dispose of, should they reach elective office, and rest assured they will be, unless they agree to play the game by Allen's rules.

Cucc is another story, being solid in his beliefs to the point he will not be easily controlled, and therefore he must be dealt with at the convention.
The problem for Allen was how to do away with Cucc on a level playing field, which field would have been virtually assured if Frederick stayed in place.

If Bolling and McDonnell both were to lose the election and Cucc to win, the RPV would be Cucc's for a long time, thereby making it nearly impossible for Allen to have his way with us again.

He must needs therefore take care of Ken now, and hope the Dems do away with Bill and Bob for him, thereby opening up his choice of seats for which to run in four years.
The problem was getting Frederick to allow convention rules to be broken, bent or twisted like last year in order to assure Brownlee or Foster would remove Ken for him.

That was not going to happen under Frederick, as he was the victim of such tactics last year, and would not allow such under his administration, and that would produce a level playing field on which Cuccinelli would be nearly indestructable, assuring he would be the nominee, and leaving Allen with only the hope for the Dem's to take him out as well as Bill and Bob.

Enter Mike Thomas and his crew with ten pretextual charges, by their own admission yesterday, to consumate months of planning to remove Frederick by coup, when he did not go away voluntarily.
Why do I think it was Allen, not McDonnell?

Last week a group of conferees met in Charlottesville with a deal in mind to allow Frederick to stay in office, but deny him some of the usual powers of the Chairman.

All parties including Frederick and McDonnell agreed except one, and under the terms of the deal, it was off if there was not unanimous consent.
The one party to insist on removal was none other than Mike Thomas.

Mike will not be permanent chairman, was not doing this for himself, and knowing as everyone does, that he is a front man for George Allen, I am left with no other logical conclusion than George Allen wants the party back.

By removing Frederick, he not only opens the door for his hand picked chairman, but now has the opportunity to tip the nomination for AG to someone who will be directed by Allen and his people, and who will take a step back for George when he tells them to.

Do we really want to reopen the "Macaca" can of worms?
I can hear the media and Dem's now for the entire campaign of any potential Allen run for any office, screaming racist, bigot, and God only knows what else they would come up with to disract voters from real issues.

I do not believe for a moment that George is any of those things, but why go back to all that when we can move on for the good of the party under the leadership of Ken Cuccinelli ?

No, I say we go on without Allen, and hand the party back to the grassroots, not to powerplayers and State Central or Executive Committee members, many of whom exist to obey orders, not to advance principle.

You can call it speculation, but it could very well be history repeating itself......... again.

Jeff Shapiro Gets it Regarding Jeff Frederick........

Watch this video of mainstream media "getting it" far better than a lot of people on State Central.
Shapiro correctly points out that McDonnell is behind the coup and will suffer if Jeff survives.

What he fails to observe is that Bob stand to lose a LOT more if Jeff goes down.
320 votes is too small a margin for comfort, McDonnell's last margin of victory, and there is no reason to think this year will be any better for Republicans than four years ago.

An angry pro-Frederick protest vote by staying home in November will sink McDonnell.
Whether you agree or disagree with such a mindset, many people are upset enough at being told they don't have the right to elect their own party leadership to stay home...........sorry, it's just the truth.
Here's the video:

Open Letter to Statewide Candidates Regarding Jeff Frederick

Gentlemen;
I want you all to know that I appreciate the five of you who have done what is right and publicly stayed neutral in the coup against Jeff.
Our grassroots overwhelmingly elected Jeff by over 60% of the vote as you well know, and it is NOT the prerogative of SC to overturn that without PROOF of serious ethical or legal violations by the Chairman.

The pretextual charges are a far cry from such justification, and I have seen his responses, and it is clear to me that if he is guilty of anything it is minor human error in a new job, at worst.

Let he that is without such mistakes among you cast the first stone!
As a grassroots Republican activist, having spent half my life as such, I am ashamed at my party for a host of reasons, not the least of which being the penchant of some of you to "move to the center", for the misguided reasoning that it will attract moderates and independents.
I give you Ronald Reagan as a tremendous alternative to that errant belief.
He did not become like them to get their votes; Rather he articulated the values of conservatism and showed them why it was better for them too.
I think you all know this well, though I suspect your consultants are telling you otherwise.
I remind you that some of you have hired consultants who participated in the ruin of Allen, Gilmore, Kilgore, McCain, Earley, North, and a host of others.
Try it Reagan's way!
No one ever beat him at it!

But I digress;
I am actually writing to you as a "radical" right winger, as I was recently labeled, a right winger who does not appreciate being told that I have no right to elect my own RPV Chairman.
Gentlemen, you work for us, not the other way around, and if you do not like our selection of other political employees, it is incumbent upon you to ask US to make a change, not to sit by and watch our selection of Frederick get overturned by an elite few power brokers on the Executive Committee and SCC.

I opened by thanking you for the public neutrality;
I now ask you to go another step further and remain privately neutral as well.
I know how the game is played, and I am well aware that most of you have "your own" person in mind that you want as RPV Chairman, should you win the convention, and perhaps even before.

I remind you, that is OUR decision, not yours, regardless of precedent.
The fact that in the past, free people have allowed the dictation of a few to choose the leadership of many, does not preclude many from taking right ground and insisting upon their rights in the future.

That is what I am asking you all for today.
I am asking you all to be truly neutral behind the scenes, which I seriously doubt has happened so far (if I am wrong, please forgive the assumption), and to issue press releases this week stating that the delegates should be the ones to choose their own leadership, and SCC must exercise it's supervisory role pursuant to the Party Plan, only under the strict guidelines for removal laid out in the Party Plan.

The Plan sets a very high standard for removal, not allowing it simply because of personality issues or idealogical differences.
I think such a move on your part would not only be the right thing to do, but accompanied by hearfelt neutrality behind the scenes as well, would be a very shrewd political move.

If Jeff is removed this Saturday, or any time before the November elections, there will be high price to pay at the polls, and I hope none of you view that statement as a threat, because I am not in the position to threaten anyone, nor, would I be arrogant enough to undertake such.

It is simply the truth;
I am in touch with hundreds of party activists all over the state and the anger over being told that our votes don't count if the VC of RPV says they don't is immense and powerful, and building, and palpable.

Need I remind you that some of you won your last statewide elections by some of the slimmest margins in Virginia's history, and there are no indications that conditions will even be as favorable for Republicans now, much less any better!
63% of 3700? delegates elected Jeff as our Chairman.........if a tiny percentage of those 63% stay home as a result of being treated like political harlots, is there any reason to believe it would not have potentially destructive consquences to some of your campaigns?

You all need to know that the majority of VA Republicans are people driven by principle, and who are wondering if the party of Reagan has become the party of Bush socialism nationwide, and who will not need a very hard push to stay home..........again.

That would be a disaster for those of you who ultimately come out on top at this year's convention.
I would suggest that two things can preclude such a dire scenario from taking place.

#1. A strongly worded, articulate, and user-friendly proactive conservative legislative agenda, and support for the grassroots right to elect our own party leadership.

#2. A new, noticable humble committment to being viewed as public servants, not as elite political poker players.

I am not saying that all of you are getting all this wrong;
I am saying that public perception is exactly what I just layed out, and it would behoove you to take the greatest care to mirror Reagan, not John McCain or George Bush in your vision for self-government, and your political style.

I have a litmus test now, for whom I will vote and work this year (yes, I believe in them), and that test will consist of one question;
Does our Republican candidate believe in my American right to choose my own leadership in public and private elections, and does he demonstrate that commitment in actions as well as rhetoric?

As much as I may love some of you guys, if you cannot show me this one thing to my complete satisfaction, I will vote for a third party, or write- in for the general election.

Partial freedom is really no freedom at all, and I refuse to be treated by my elected leadership as if I were a citizen in a Banana Republic.

You don't have to agree with me all the time, but you must agree with the Constitution all the time, or you will not get my vote, and I hope you don't make the ultimate political mistake of think this is just me feeling this way.

One final word to Bob;
If you want to win in November, you better get this coup stopped, and I KNOW you can if you want to.
Again, that is NOT intended to be a threat, but 320 votes is a margin too close for error, and this is a MAJOR error in judgment on your part inserting yourself publicly like you have.

It would far better to eat a piece of humble pie now, and win the election in November.
Bob, I respect your accomplishments, and want to support you, but like I said above, I cannot allow my leaders to select themselves, and remain a free man.
PLEASE reconsider the wisdom of your recent moves regarding Jeff, call off the SCC, Kathy Terry ( whom I love dearly), the Congressmen, and let's start pulling together behind you guys for victory in November!!

Tim Boyer,
Vice-Chairman,
Campbell County Republican Committee.

One note:
Patrick Muldoon did publicly call for an independent investigation, showing leadership at a time leadership is desperately needed.
