Now that it is official, I want to announce my objection to Senator Hurt as our nominee for this seat;
I have done extensive research into his voting record while in the Virginia House and Senate, and have concluded that "conservative" to him really means "march in lockstep" with Republican power brokers regardless of the commitment or lack thereof to conservative values.
Conservatives have been shoved to the side within the official framework of the Republican Party of Virginia for years, and Hurt's voting record shows an oft-moderate follower, not a "proven conservative leader" as he says.
Read his questionable record below in several previous posts

Hurt is the last thing the Republican's of the 5th need he will not get ANY votes from anybody but the party base.
but at this point Hurt is the "democracy" of 5th District candidates..."the worst, except for all the others."
Well who do you propose to support? Perriello has to go, and I don't see a libertarian candidate, or someone strong enough to take on the incumbent.
